I was born and reared in Dublin, lived for twenty six years in Wicklow and then moved to Clare, a move I have never regretted.

I am a late-comer to painting but I am doing my best to make up for lost time. I paint mainly in oils and my favourite subject is the amazingly beautiful Irish countryside. The ever-changing colours and cloud formations seem to attract me above anything else. That does not mean that the countyrside is the only thing I paint, just that it is my favourite. I also paint in acrylic, pastel and water-colour.

I have studied under two excellent painters and feel that I have added a new dimension to my life. I have exhibited in various venues throughout the country and have been very successful. My paintings are in private collections in this country and also in England, France, The United States and Switzerland.
