My passion for painting in watercolours began with a painting holiday more than 30 years ago. Afterwards, with some tuition, I began to experiment and explore watercolour techniques and textures. Using a palette of warm earthy tones such as burnt sienna, raw umber and moss green to name a few, I started to create my own unique painting style.
Over the last year I have used the time creatively to produce a new series of paintings capturing atmospheric qualities and depicting tranquil moments of time.
My work has featured in numerous group art exhibitions with Inis Artists and I also exhibit at Ardmore Art Gallery in County Waterford and Lucy Erridge Gallery in Adare where I held my first solo exhibition in 2008.
My work is included in many private collections in Ireland, Australia, Taiwan and America.
