Mimi Kern studied art at Tyler School of Fine Arts in Philadelphia.  She has shown her work in numerous galleries in the United States.  Mimi lives and works in County Clare with her husband, furniture maker Erich Fichtner.  She works primarily in oils.  Her work includes interpretations of the Clare landscape both natural and built, while reflecting her continuing interest in the human face and form.
