Originally from Limerick, I spent
25 years in Shannon before moving to Newmarket on Fergus in 1999.
My interest in art started in
childhood when as a 7 year old I won an art competition
in Limerick. Sport, then marriage mortgage and family put a
temporary halt to my painting.
The urge to create was
revived, after many years, from watching art programmes
on TV and by going to art exhibitions.
I always marvelled at the
talent, skill, and creativity of Artists and I was
totally captivated by the beauty of their paintings.
I get huge enjoyment from creating
seascapes, landscapes, still life, and anything that
takes my fancy, using oils, acrylic and watercolours.
It
is a huge part of my life.
I am self taught and I participate in all Inis Artists
exhibitions.
My paintings have sold in all
parts of Ireland
and also in
England and the
United States.
I have also painted on
commission
