I am originally from County Limerick but have been living in Clare for a number of years years.
My passion for painting in watercolours began with a painting holiday more than 30 years ago. Afterwards, with art tuition I began to experiment and explore watercolour textures and techniques. Inspired by the beauty of the surrounding landscape and capturing atmospheric qualities I try to recreate the mood of local scenes in my own unique style using warm earthy tones. Trees are one of my favourite painting subjects.
Over the last year I have used the time creatively to produce a new series of paintings including “The road less travelled”, miniature Cottage Series to name a few, currently on display in Shannon Town Centre.
My work has featured in both solo and group art exhibitions. I also exhibit at Ardmore Tea Rooms and Gallery where “Farmhouse on Bere Island” and “Beech Trees” paintings are currently on display.
My work is included in many private collections in Ireland, Australia, United Kingdom, Taiwan and America.
